Countable dan Uncountable Noun Countable Noun adalah kata benda yang dapat dihitung. Seperti table, chair, spoon, plate, dan house. Sedangkan uncountable noun adalah kata benda yang tidak dapat dihitung satupersatu. Seperti sugar, salt, water, tea, bread, and coffee. Notes: • Countable noun bisa berjumlah satu/singular ataupun jamak/plural. • Jika berjumlah satu/singular maka dapat ditambahkan ‘a atau an’ sebelum countable noun tersebut, misalnya bag menjadi a bag. Jika berjumlah jamak maka ditambahkan huruf s/es dibelakang kata countable noun seperti pada kata bag menjadi bags Pay attention to the examples below: a. My teaching experience started when I was a high school student. My mom introduced me to several teachers in my neighborhood. Because I studied at an Islamic boarding school, I taught only on my holiday. I began teaching at mosque. I taught elementary students. At first I was so embarrassed and I didn’t know how to start. But I tried to find out how a teacher starts the lesson, I observed the way while the teacher was teaching at class. I asked the teacher the steps to teach at class, and I asked the materials which were needed to be delivered in the class. I tried to imitate the way teacher taught at class. Although I had been in the situation where the process of teaching and learning occurred as a student but I never been a teacher before. Being a teacher was not easy, but I enjoyed it.
